For most message conditions, a Probe window appears that contains the waveforms associated with the simulation condition, along with detailed message text. Persistent hazards If a PERSISTENT HAZARD message is displayed, two plots appear (see Figure 17-11), containing the following: ■ the waveforms that initially caused the timing violation or hazard (lower plot) ■ the primary outputs or internal state devices to which the condition has propagated (upper plot) Figure 17-11 Waveform display for a persistent hazard.
