Create Artwork warns if legacy Outline is used in film records. Net Short ■ If the Retain Net on Via option is not selected, the NET_SHORT property is no longer copied by the copy command. Padstack ■ Padstacks generated in the 16.x Pad Designer can be opened in the new 17.x Padstack Editor and will be automatically upreved. ■ 16.x padstacks (default type Thru Pin or SMD Pin) when opened in 17.x can select the new Padstack Type from the Start Tab. This will not change or update any of the existing values of the padstack but only change its Padstack classification. ■ In 17.x plating, status value Optional has been removed. ■ 16.6 padstacks can be used in a 17.4 environment, but any update to the padstack that leverages new features brands the padstack as 17.x. As a result, that padstack would become incompatible with 16.6 databases. ■ The ARK padstack option (mechanical pins using antipad as keepout) is eliminated. If pads were saved with the ARK option in 16.6, their antipad value will transfer to the Keepout field in 17.4. ■ The unit and accuracy variables to seed values on start up of the padstack editor have been renamed as follows: pad_designer_new_accuracy is now padstack_editor_new_accuracy pad_designer_new_units is now padstack_editor_new_units Embedded_Geometry/Soldermask The following changes have been made to support the Embedded Geometry/Soldermask subclass.
