Changes described here apply to all Allegro-based high-speed products (unless otherwise noted). Database changes to support new functionality in this release prevent them from being opened in previous releases. DML/IML Path In previous releases, DML and IML paths were controlled graphically with the Library Browser dialog or through the use of environment variables such as signal_devlibs. Both of these methods created model paths based on individual library files (.dml or .iml) or indices (.ndx). Results of these settings were then stored in a configuration file (case.cfg) in the signoise.run and/or sigxp.run directory. In 16.3, DML and IML path have become directory based. All SI models including native formats such as IBIS, HSpice, and Spectre are searched for in the same list of directories.
