Migrating to Release 16.3 The following section provides guidelines to migrate pre-16.3 designs to the 16.3 release. Using Export Schematic functionality When you open a pre-16.3 design, you need to regenerate the block schematics before you can export the schematic. To preserve route and place changes in the design, regenerate the block schematics in the Preserve mode. 1. Open the design in System Connectivity Manager. 2. Choose Project — Generate Schematics. The Document Schematic Generator [processor] dialog displays. 3. Select Preserve Mode to save any routing and placement changes and click Run. After the schematic is generated, click Close. You can now export this design as a schematic.
