Migration Guide for Allegro Platform Products Core Allegro Platform Back-End Products October 2019 47 Product Version 17.4-2019 © 1999-2019 All Rights Reserved. Options Tab Field Sizes for Trees, Lists, and Grids The options tab is used commonly – both, by custom SKILL tools and third-party applications, and by the Cadence core tools – to provide access to options and configuration settings for commands. This tab can be either docked (usually on the right side of the graphical canvas) or floating. When you enlarge the Options tab by dragging the edge of the docked tab farther into the graphical canvas or by resizing the undocked form, previously fields would remain the same size as originally defined in the form file specification. In the 17.4 release, if you make the options tab wider, the grid, list, and tree fields will expand horizontally to fill the additional space. This allows you to see more information in the field, particularly in cases where they contain long strings. In many cases, this will allow you to eliminate the horizontal scroll bars in the fields entirely if you so desire. The net logic command Options tab is shown in the next image. The Options pane has been widened, and you can see that the grid field has widened as well, to be able to display more information in each line. No change is necessary to your form file definition in this case.
