Quick Overview: Installing Allegro and OrCAD 17.2-2016 Products on Windows Before installing the products for the first time, ensure that Cadence License Manager is installed and running. The license manager need not be on the same system but must be accessible for the products to run. You can install Allegro and OrCAD 17.2-2016 products by first installing the Base and then the latest hotfix. Installing the Cadence® Download Manager lets you manage download and installation from your desktop. Note: Ensure your system meets the software and hardware requirements for the 17.2-2016 products. See Hardware and Software Requirements on page 7 for the requirements.
