Why Isn't PCB Layout Design Associated With the OrCAD X Project Even Though the Board is Published to the Shared Workspace?

Problem

I've published both the PCB design (.BRD) and schematic design (.DSN) to my shared workspace. When I open the schematic from the shared workspace to update the changes from layout, I'm alerted with the Create Layout option instead of using the existing PCB board design. How can I make sure the PCB design is associated with the schematic in the shared environment?

Solution

This issue occurs when only the .DSN and .BRD files are published to the shared workspace without the OrCAD X project file (.OPJ). The OrCAD X project file stores the association of the design files that comprise the OrCAD X project and must be published along with all the supporting design files.
