Avoiding Right- Angle and Acute Trace Corners Right-angle (90°) and acute (<90°) trace bends introduce small impedance discontinuities, concentrate electric fields, and can create weak spots in narrow copper. In high-speed or sensitive analog designs, these bends can cause signal reflections, EMI hot spots, and even manufacturing yield issues due to acid traps during etching.
