Module 2: Exporting and Importing IPC-2581 SPECs
One of the objectives of creating IPC-2581 SPECs is to maintain consistency of
messages across many designs. Note and detail information defined in IPC-2581
SPECs can be preserved and used in other designs by exporting the SPEC definitions
to a file that can be later imported into other designs.
LAB 1: Exporting IPC-2581 SPECs
1. In the PCB Editor, open SpecLab_2.brd.
2. Open the Define IPC2581 Specs form (Setup > IPC2581 SPEC Definitions).
3. Export the current SPEC definitions to a file:
a. Select the Export button.
b. A Save As file browser will open.
