Configuring Workspaces Overview
OrCAD X Capture provides a collaborative cloud-based development environment where you can create shared workspaces
containing work-in-progress components, designs, libraries, board files, and project files. You can manage the files in your
workspaces from File Manager and components within Component Explorer. The OnCloud workspaces are available starting
with Version 23.1.
Note: To create a shared/team workspace and assign member roles and privileges, you need access to an OrCAD X
Professional license or higher.
Creating a Workspace
To create a workspace, do the following:
1. Launch OrCAD X Capture.
2. From the toolbar menu, go to View > Workspace > Configuration.
Alternatively, right-click My Workspace and choose Workspace Configuration from the Component Explorer window
(when a schematic page is active). This opens the Workspace Configuration GUI.
