How to Use the New Pin Delay Feature in OrCAD X 25.1

Managing relative propagation delays in high-speed circuitry can be challenging, especially when accounting for internal pin delays from IC silicon to exposed pads. Manual entry of pin delay data is time-consuming and prone to errors. The new Pin Delay Import feature in Presto 25.1 streamlines this process, allowing you to enable pin delay in the analysis mode for accurate timing calculations, import pin delay data directly from manufacturer files, eliminating manual entry, edit and override pin delay values directly in the Constraint Manager and export pin delay data for reuse in future designs. This video walks you through the entire process, from enabling pin delay to importing, editing, and exporting data, ensuring precise and efficient high-speed circuit design.
