Partitions are defined on the x,y plane and are infinite in the vertical direction. There are three methods to consider when creating partition areas: ■ Shape-based boundaries (rectangle or polygon) ■ Construction lines (slicing) ■ Copy existing boundaries (room, board outline, constraint area) Shape-based rectangles or polygons are used to create custom areas, whereas construction lines are used to promote a quick slice approach.
