How to Setup Via Backdrilling to Improve Signals in High Speed Designs

Backdrilling, also known as Controlled Depth Drilling (CDD), is the process of removing unused stubs from plated-through-hole vias. These stubs are the unnecessary portions of vias that extend further than the last connected inner layer and can cause signal attenuation and reflection.
