Page 16 USER_SUFFIX. The pattern is defined as in the directive BLOCK_REF_DES_PATTERN. When the user is applying this pattern on a block instance, the UI shows the fields for the two variables which can be filled by the user. This allows the user to specify a combination of suffi x and prefix to apply on block RefDes. If these parameters are specified, then the RefDes values change accordingly. For example, if USER_STRING is specified as 2 and USER_SUFFIX is _A then the RefDes changes from U10 to U210_A. If the value of this directive is set to: BLOCK_REF_DES_PATTERN '($PHYS_DES_PREFIX)($USER_STRING)($SOURCE_VAL) ($USER_SUFFIX_1)($USER_SUFFIX_2)' then, the menu looks like this Now, if USER_STRING is specified as W, USER_SUFFIX_1 is _A and USER_SUFFIX_2 is _B, the RefDes changes from U10 to UW10_A_B.
