Module 1: Migrating Constraints from Physical Layout
to Schematic
1. Open the designdb3.opj design. This design is not CM-enabled and has a
physical layout present with constraints defined in it.
2. Synchronize your design by running front-to-back flow and back-to-front flow.
This will ensure that connectivity and properties of the design are in sync.
Note: It is recommended to synchronize your design before CM-enabling it with
physical layout.
3. Click the CM icon to make the design CM-enabled. You will be prompted by the
Migrate Constraints dialog.
4. Select the second option "Migrate constraints from PCB layout". Note the
additional information for this option given on the right-hand side container. Click
OK.
The Session Log will also mention the set of operations to be done after
selecting this option.
