The paused databases still available for new clients to connect. New clients, however, only view the database in its pre-paused state. On trying to connect to a paused database, a warning message displays. When connected, clients can modify the database, but the changes will not be integrated to the server. A reminder message is displayed after completion of each command that can be suppressed by enabling Do not show again check box.
