Module 3: Generating Output
The BOM HDL utility of Allegro Design Entry -HDL (DE-HDL) is integrated with Allegro
System Capture to provide the same level of Report generation as DE-HDL. Launch the
utility from the Tools – Generate BOM and generate reports for both Base and Variant
BOM. The reports are placed in a folder with the name BOM at the same level as the
project file.
Lab 4: Generating a Bill of Material (BOM)
1. In System Capture, choose Tools - Generate BOM.
The BOM-HDL Dialog Box appears.
The format of the Bill of Materials is controlled by the Template file. In this
example, the Cadence default template supplied with the OrCAD and Allegro
installation is used.
