The functionality also makes the Allegro System Capture database a true single file database, which contains all the design data including the library data for the parts use d in the design. There are no interactive steps to this lab – it is informational only. Continue to Lab 3. Lab 3: Part Management As component data is cached in the System Capture single-file database, component information is periodically compared to the reference library, and designers get notified of any mismatches. A given part can have one of these statuses: • In Sync – These parts are the same in the design cache as well as the reference library. • Auto Sync – These parts are different in the cache and the reference library but can be automatically synchronized by the tool. • Manual Sync – These parts are different in the cache and the reference library and require manual resolution before they can be synchronized. 1. In Allegro System Capture, choose the Tools – Part Manager menu command. All parts are in-sync.
